The Blitz knew they were going to be in for tough game against the team they beat to the top spot last year. With Coach Eric Bosence away on 'business' in Vegas coach Liam Wyatt stepped in. The Blitz came out of the gates on fire with Claire Padfield dominating the defensive rebounds and scoring on the other end. Kate & Anta Reitskina provided a spark off the bench in the second quarter, giving the Blitz a 32-21 advantage at half time.

Diamonds kept things close with some good outside shooting in the second half, but they could not stop Emma Blake who was unstoppable scoring from all over court leading the way with 24 points. Antonia Dufek stepped into the starting line and did a great job on Defence. It was a solid all-round team performance from Bournemouth which keeps them at the top of division 1.
